My personal work is largely influenced by a steady diet of pop culture, books, graphic novels, movies, television and video games.

 

Designing with animation in mind is my default setting, continually considering how shape and form will work together to not only achieve robust visual aesthetics, but technical efficiency in a pipeline when translated into motion.

Music also plays a large role in my design process. Rhythm, pattern, and movement are considered in every aspect of storytelling, and when faced with a roadblock, sometimes a little jazz, rock, or hip-hop can inspire new, previously unconsidered direction.

Though I work mostly digital these days, I find other outlets for my creativity through murals and street art under the name "YoungHawk".
